American Institute of Home Inspectors

The American Institute of Inspectors is a non-profit corporation established as a national inspection trade association. The purpose of the association is to promote a high level of professionalism in the inspection industry by certifying qualified individuals as inspectors. This is accomplished through approved training and examination of those who apply for certification.

National Home Inspector Credentialing Councel (Canada)

The NHICC is an independent non-profit federal corporation home inspector certification entity administered by an experienced Board of Directors. We maintain membership as a “Proud Member” of ICE (Institute for Credentialing Excellence). Accordingly we stay informed and follow “best practices” in developing and administering a high quality certification program for home inspectors in Canada. To that end we provide truly independent 3rd party certification and assessments for home and property inspectors. Candidates that meet our national certification program requirements are awarded the NHI designation (National Home Inspector). As such we maintain a Credentialing Specialist as part of our credentialing/administrative mandate. ICE recognizes that certification has become a profession that requires its own unique competencies to maintain assessment-based certification standards
